Three ways to reach us

On the phone we're happy to answer your questions during opening hours; written enquiries are usually answered on the same or the following opening day.

By phone

During lunch and in the evening, someone from the family picks up the phone themselves. Call us if it's about today or tomorrow.

In writing

The form further below or an e-mail to us: the best route for enquiries with a date, number of guests and occasion.

In person

Marlesgrube 14 in the old town. If you're in the area anyway, ask at the entrance about a table – we'll see what's free.

At the table

It's best to talk in person

Whether a high chair is needed, whether your group would prefer to sit at the back, whether someone can't tolerate wheat: we sort these things out in a couple of sentences on the phone or in the form – and they're noted down before you arrive.

Reserve a table
  • On foot: just a few minutes from the city centre through the old town's alleys, cobblestones on the final stretch
  • By bike: parking spots right in front of the building; please bring your bike under the canopy in rainy weather
  • By bus: the city centre stops are within walking distance, please check the evening schedule for your way home
  • By car: head for the old town car park, then a short walk from there; delivery vehicles only stop briefly in the alley
  • Entrance: one step up to the door, the front dining room is at ground level; let us know when booking if you need an easily accessible table
  • Prams and walkers: we're happy to store both in the entrance area so the aisles stay clear

Accessible entry

The building is old, and the doorstep can't be removed. Give us a quick call if you're coming with a wheelchair or walking aid: we'll lay out the ramp and keep a table free near the entrance that's reachable without a step.

After you submit

How we process your request

Between lunch and dinner service, the kitchen takes priority, so we don't check messages continuously. The following steps show when you can expect which response and what details help us work faster.

Your message lands directly in our inbox at the restaurant. We check it twice a day: in the morning before the lunch service and in the afternoon before the evening service. Messages from Sunday evening and Monday, our day off, are handled on Tuesday morning.
