Your celebration at the long table
Birthday, christening, anniversary or company dinner: we push the tables together, discuss the dishes with you beforehand and serve, in the evening, dishes your whole group can share.
One long table instead of many separate ones
Our restaurant on Marlesgrube is a historic old-town building with several table groups: for larger parties, we combine them into one continuous table, so half your group isn't seated at the next one along.
What we prepare in advance
As soon as the date and number of guests are confirmed, we plan the room around them. The table stands fully set when your guests arrive – with space in the middle for platters, so everyone can share the same dishes.
- Tables combined into one long table, set consistently
- Space in the centre for shared antipasti platters and pizzas
- Room to place a cake, flowers or any decoration you bring
- A spot for a high chair or pram, if you need one

Occasions we welcome
From an early-evening children's birthday to a company dinner after work – every group eats differently, and we tailor the arrangements accordingly.
Birthdays
Milestone birthdays as well as children's parties. Antipasti arrive on platters in the centre of the table, followed by pasta and pizza of your choice. If you bring a cake, we'll keep it chilled and bring it out whenever you say.
Christenings and anniversaries
Family gatherings where grandparents and children sit together. We put together a menu with something for every age, and serve it course by course rather than all at once.
Company dinners
Department dinners, project wrap-ups or Christmas meals. On request, we fix a set selection in advance so ordering runs smoothly on the evening, and settle everything on one invoice.
Groups after a city walk
Tour groups and visitors wanting a meal after exploring the old town. With advance notice, the table is ready and waiting, and we keep the selection manageable so service stays quick.
Long tables, no occasion needed
Sometimes it's simply a large group wanting to eat together – a club evening, class reunion, or the neighbourhood. We set up the long table for this too, with no special programme required.
Food to share
What comes to the table is made in the same kitchen as every other evening: antipasti, handmade pasta and wood-fired pizza. The full range is on the menu.

Shared food keeps a table together
Instead of twelve individual plates, we place platters in the centre of the table: antipasti, sliced wood-fired pizzas, a bowl of pasta. Everyone takes what they like, and the evening becomes about conversation as much as the meal.
Discover our cuisineThe process
From enquiry to dessert
A group of eight or more is planned differently from two guests on an ordinary evening: the kitchen, wood-fired oven and service team need to know when and how many plates must be ready at once. These five steps take you from your first message to the espresso at the end of the evening.

We need the date, number of guests and your preferred arrival time. Everything else we'll sort out afterwards. Write to us via the reservation form or give us a call – ideally between 2:30 and 5:30 pm, when the kitchen isn't in service.

We check which table arrangement suits you best: one long table for a group that wants to talk together, or two to three block tables if the group tends to split into halves. You'll find our suggestion named in the confirmation.

From eight guests onwards, we ask for a pre-selection: either two to three main courses to choose from at the table, or antipasti to share as a starter for everyone. That way the dishes arrive together instead of twenty minutes apart.

Up to three days beforehand, let us know who eats gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan. Our homemade pasta contains egg and wheat; for gluten-free guests, we switch to risotto, fish or meat dishes and pizza made from a separate dough.

Our service team looks after your table throughout the evening with one dedicated point of contact. We can settle up on a single bill for the whole group or split by seat – just let us know before dessert, and the bill will be ready when you want to leave.
Two options
Menu to choose from or a shared table
For larger groups, two formats have proven successful. Both cost the same as à la carte – there's no group surcharge. Which one suits you better depends on whether your guests prefer to choose for themselves or share and sample together.
Preselection menu
- Two to three main courses that your guests choose only at the table
- Everyone gets exactly what they like – including children's portions
- The kitchen can prepare dough, sauce, and sides in advance
- The selection must be finalised two days beforehand
Antipasti table
- Platters of antipasti placed in the middle of the table, everyone helps themselves
- The evening starts right away, without waiting for individual plates
- Followed by wood-fired pizza or pasta of your choice
- Less suitable if many guests have strictly separate dietary needs
